Obituary for Fairy Louise Ice (Hall)
Fairy Louise Ice, 92, of New Martinsville, WV went to meet her Savior on Friday, December 13, 2019 while at her home.
Fairy was born October 1, 1927 in Dola, WV; daughter of the late Otho LaSure and Esther (Hall) Kelley.
She was a homemaker with a great love for her family, retired clerk for the former Fisher’s Big Wheel, graduate of Pine Grove High School Class of 1945, member of Little Flower Society and New Martinsville Homemakers Club, helped with American Red Cross Blood Drives, loved growing flowers, doing yard work and listening to music and member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Ice (2014); two brothers, Ben and James LaSure; granddaughter, Jaclyn Hessling; grandson, Matthew Hessling; great grandson, Christopher Federico; two son-in-laws, Jim Coen and Rick Federico.
Surviving are her son, Ralph (Toundra) Ice of Jackson, AL; five daughters, Ruth Coen of Pine Grove, WV, Carol Ann Buchanan of Tupper Plains, OH, Theresa Ice, Janet Federico and Mary Margaret (Jimmy) Melott all of New Martinsville, WV; fifteen grandchildren; multiple great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 3-7 p.m., Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville. Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Msgr. Kevin M. Quirk officiating.
Rosary service will be held 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 17, 2019.
Burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in New Martinsville.
