Obituary for James Richard Allen
James Richard Allen, 66, of New Martinsville, WV died Friday, March 6, 2020 while at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
James was born May 31, 1953 in Beavertown, OH; son of the late Kenneth “Piney” Eugene and Ruby Mae (Heddleston) Allen.
He was a retired coal miner, he loved visiting yard sales, going to auctions and working in his yard. He was a member of the Parrhill Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lyndia A. (Smith) Allen in 2018.
Surviving are son, James Allen of New Martinsville, WV; step-son, Michael P. (Carey) Smith of Paden City, WV; grandchildren, Brittany (Mark) Taylor, Tabitha Smith; great grandchildren, Mary and Michael; two brothers, Larry Allen and Kenny (Leslie) Allen both of New Port, OH; three sisters, Betty (Michael) Ressiger of New Martinsville, WV, Judy Binegar of Marietta, OH and Karen Shreves of Beavertown, OH and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 1 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m., Monday, March 9, 2020 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City, WV. Burial to follow in Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville.
