Obituary for Susanna Owens (Shepherd)
Susanna Owens, 71, of Paden City, WV passed peacefully at her daughter’s home Sunday, May 17, 2020 while surrounded with the delightful sounds of her great grandchildren.
Susanna was born August 29, 1948 in Middlebourne, WV; daughter of the late John and Mae (Dawson) Shepherd.
She was a homemaker, enjoyed quilting, crafting, sewing and watching Fox News. A huge supporter of our President, Donald Trump and a member of Paden Fork Chapel Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several siblings and two grandsons, Matthew Barker and Levi Southerly.
Surviving are her son, Shawn Owens of Wheeling, WV; three daughters, Angie (Brad) Barker of Paden City, WV, Tammy (Kenny) Barker of St. Marys, WV and Jennifer (Michael) Southerly of Sistersville, WV; one brother, James Shepherd of Middlebourne, WV; sister, Opal Billiter of New Martinsville, WV; seventeen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Greenwood Cemetery in Sistersville, WV.
