Obituary for Ronnie Lee Freeland

Ronnie Lee Freeland, 79, Paden City, WV passed away Friday, September 11, 2020 while in Youngstown, OH.

Ronnie was born February 3, 1941 in Marietta, OH; son of the late John J. and Anna (Clasey) Freeland.

He was a retired truck driver for Chemical Lehman, a U.S. Army veteran, member of the NRA and Harley Owners Group, loved playing music, belonging to the band known as “True Country”, charter member of the Border Line Chapter of H.O.G. in Marietta, OH and driving all over the United States with his wife by his side. He was a Protestant by faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-son, Mark Thompson; grandson, K.C. Thompson; brother, Russell Freeland and sister, Arletta Oliver.

Surviving are his wife of forty-one years, Bonnie (Henthorn) Freeland; son, Rowdy James (Chrissi) Freeland of Zanesville, OH; two step-sons, Kevin Thompson of New Martinsville, WV and Brian Thompson of Paden City, WV; two daughters, Carolyn (Wes) Morgan and Robin (Dave) Wallace both of Marietta, OH; step-daughter, Tammy (Thomas) Hubbard of Lancaster, OH; three brothers, Lester (Barb) Freeland of Cambridge, OH, Bobbie (Joyce) Freeland and Keith (Julie) Freeland both of Marietta, OH; sister, Barbara Foreman of Marietta, OH; seventeen grandchildren and several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-8 p.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City, WV where services will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, September 16, 2020 with Marty Coffey officiating.
Burial to follow in Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City, WV.
