Obituary for Norma Kay Melott (Prine)
Norma Kay Melott, 70, of New Martinsville, WV formerly of Spencer, WV and Conaway, WV, died Thursday, September 17, 2020 while at the Heritage in St. Marys, WV.
Norma was born January 25, 1950 in Roane County, WV; daughter of the late Charley F. and Edna (Murray) Prine.
She was a homemaker, a former LPN for Roane General Hospital and Gordon’s Health Care, enjoyed canning, gardening, walking and raising flowers and a member of the Spencer Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Melott.
Surviving are her three sons, Mike (Tama) Melott of Reader, WV, Todd (Carrie) Melott of New Martinsville, WV and Steve (Jodie) Melott of Conaway, WV; five siblings, Daisy (Don) Matics and Martin (Barb) Prine both of Reedy, WV, Linda (Roger) Jarvis of Grantsville, WV, Rick (Barbie) Prine and Ed (Janet) Prine of Spencer, WV; four grandchildren, Conner Melott, Cameron Melott, Makayla Melott and McKenzie Melott and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 1-4 p.m., Sunday, September 20, 2020 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m., Monday, September 21, 2020 at Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville, WV.
Memorial contributions may be made, in Norma’s name, to the Heritage at St Marys, 1809 N Pleasants Hwy, St Marys, WV 26170.
