Obituary for Orval J. "Bud" Sizemore

Orval “Bud” J. Sizemore, 90, of Winchester, VA formerly of New Martinsville, WV passed peacefully on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at his home in the loving care of his wife.

Bud was born November 22, 1929 in Diana, WV; son of the late Owen T. and Lucy (Gum) Sizemore.

He was a retired electrician for the former Camalo, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in post-WWII Europe. A member of Wetzel Masonic Lodge #39 A.F.&A.M., American Legion Post 86 in Paden City, member of the Steelworker Local 5760, Scottish Rite in Wheeling, college and high school football referee, loved all sports, great WVU and Yankee fan and member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Paden City, WV.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Lonnie, Charles, Therold and two infants; sister, Norma Killenger.

Surviving are his wife, Flora “Tiny” Sizemore; son, Dr. O.J. Sizemore, II of Winchester, VA; granddaughter, MacKenzie Sizemore of South Bound Brook, NJ and grandson, Tristan Sizemore of Noord Holland, Netherlands.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family in Paden Memorial Gardens with the plans of a possible memorial service in the spring.
