Leona “Dutch” L. Pettit, 92, of Paden City, WV died Friday, November 6, 2020 while at Reynolds Memorial Hospital.

Dutch was born December 21, 1927 in Pineville, WV; daughter of the late Virgil A. and Latha (Shrewsberry) Cook.

She was a homemaker, loved to dance and enjoyed decorating and traveling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-nine years, James L. Pettit; sister, Laoma Davidson and brother, Virgil A. Cook.

Surviving are her two daughters, Marsha (Gary) Holmes of Paden City, WV and Cindy (Greg) Price of Glen Dale, WV; four grandchildren, Alan (Bridget) Holmes, Angela (Mark) Croft, Valerie Price and Amanda (Michael) Kinney; four great grandchildren, Ainsley Holmes, Jackson Croft, Charlotte Croft and Reid Kinney.

Entombment services will be at the convenience of the family at Northview Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Dutch’s name, to any Alzheimer’s program.
