Obituary

Katherine Muncie, 82, of New Martinsville, WV died Wednesday, November 25, 2020 while at Wheeling Hospital.

Katherine was born November 16, 1938 in New Martinsville, WV; daughter of the late Harry and Evelyn (Travis) Dennis.

She was a homemaker, retired sales clerk for AAA Mobile Homes, her love for being around people kept her working at Kentucky Fried Chicken and she loved quilting and crocheting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Muncie; two brothers, Luther and Melvin Dennis and a sister, Deloris Lipscomb.

Surviving are her three sons, Donald (Darla) Dennis of Alma, WV, William “Bill” Muncie of Toledo, OH and Edward (Vanessa) Muncie of Pensacola, FL; six grandchildren, Krista (Aaron Freeze) Dennis of Wheeling, WV, Maria Majoris and Molanda Keyte both of Palms Springs, CA, Michael Muncie of Arkansas, Brianna (John) Cross and Nick Muncie both of Pensacola, FL; several great grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret Gray of New Cumberland, WV, LaVerna Neff of Paden City, WV and Charlotte Greathouse of Bellaire, OH and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received noon until 4 p.m., Sunday, November 29, 2020 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, where the service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, November 30, 2020 with burial to follow in Northview Cemetery.

I remember me and mom going to visit Aunt Kathern and her and mom would play Nintendo. I always get a laugh when I think of this. I hope her and mom are in Heaven playing Mario on Nintendo now having as goof a time as they did then. Love you Aunt Kathern.
