Obituary for Jack Charles Pyles

Jack Charles Pyles, 79, of Paden City, WV died Saturday, December 19, 2020 at his home while surrounded by his family.

Jack was born January 26, 1941 in Paden City, WV, in his grandmother’s house; son of the late Homer and Kathleen (Lehew) Pyles.

He was a retired warehouse foreman for the former Columbian Chemical Company, proudly served his country in the United States Air Force serving during the Cubin Missile Crisis, loved all sports, especially when it involved his children and grandchildren, an avid WVU and PC Wildcats fan and member of the Paden Fork Chapel Christian Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his cousin (who was like a brother) Gary Ward, brother-in-law, Pat “Sonny” Lewis and his beloved canine, Lexi Dog.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-five years, Sharla (Lewis) Pyles; son, Charles “Butch” Pyles of Paden City, WV; daughter, Kelly (Vance) Ash of Sistersville, WV; four grandchildren, Zach Miller, Jordan Ash, Kelsey Loy and Kane Pyles; three great grandchildren, Lexi, Colsyn and Aria.

At Jack’s request private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
