Obituary for Russell D. Stewart
Russell “Russ” D. Stewart, of Paden City, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Thursday evening.
He was born November 9, 1936 at Porters Falls, WV, to Shannon Stewart and Lorena VanCamp Stewart. He graduated from Magnolia High School in 1953. Worked at the former Wells Hardware, P.P.G. and Ormet Corp as an electrician where he retired from there.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by special uncle, Joe VanCamp.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Helen Lightner Stewart and two children, Sherry (Bill) Reed of Paden City and Russell “Rusty” (Debbie) Stewart of Cambridge, OH; four grandchildren, Jared Reed of Morgantown, WV, Meredith (Marcus) Waggoner of Morgantown, WV, Traci (Jesse Carithers) Stewart of Columbus, OH and Jordan (Emily) Reed of Paden City, WV and five great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, January 18, 2021 at Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City with Brian Price officiating.
