Obituary for Denver Gene Canfield
Denver G. Canfield, 84, of New Martinsville, WV passed at his home on Saturday, January 23, 2021 with his family at his side.
Denver was born July 8, 1936 in Birch River, Nicholas County, WV; son of the late Okey and Anna Lee (Walker) Canfield.
He was a retired coalminer, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting guns, carpentry and camping and he was a graduate of Shinnston High School.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Helen Canfield; son, Jay Canfield; granddaughter, Sarah Hartline and brother, Dennis Canfield.
Surviving are his son, Bruce Canfield of New Martinsville; two daughters, Cheryl (Roger) Hartline of Sardis, OH and Lisa (Mark) Richmond of Middlebourne, WV; two sister-in-law, Anne Canfield of North Carolina and JoAnn Canfield of New Martinsville, WV; seven grandchildren, Jonathan (Beth) Canfield, Kimberly Colmore, Shaun (Tricia) Hartline, Jessica Pennell, Alyssa (Frank) Gessler, Erin (Brad) Myers and Valerie Noell; nine great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Denver’s request private services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park in New Martinsville.
