Obituary for Christopher Lee Moore
Christopher Lee Moore, Sr., 62, of New Martinsville, WV passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021 while at Acuity Specialty Care in Wheeling, WV.
Chris was born January 21, 1959 in New Martinsville, WV; son of James C. Moore of Wileyville, WV and the late Erma E. (Sapp) Moore.
He was a maintenance worker for the New Martinsville Tower and Villas until he became disabled in 2006. Prior to that he was employed by Super America in New Martinsville. In the ‘70s and ‘80s he worked in the coal mines.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Tom and Alma Moore; maternal grandparents, Clarence E. McConnell and Coral (Sapp) McConnell Hohman and granddaughter, Hannah Nicole Young.
Surviving is his wife of twelve years, Sandra (Postlethwait) Moore; son, Christopher Lee Moore II of Wileyville, WV; father and mother-in-law, Gail and Wilma Postlethwait of New Martinsville, WV; stepdaughters, Lisa (Brian) Goddard of New Martinsville, WV and Michelle Kirkpatrick of Paden City, WV; eight grandchildren, one being his namesake Christopher Lee Moore III; several aunts, uncles and cousins and his very special pets, Mac and Mo Mo.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, February 8, 2021 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Knob Fork, WV.
