Obituary for Nita Barbara Higgins (Willey)
Nita B. Higgins, 75, of New Martinsville, WV died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 while surrounded by her family.
Nita was born August 30, 1945 in Kingtown, Wetzel County, WV; daughter of the late Virgil and Lillian (Longstreth) Willey.
She was a homemaker and she enjoyed walking, four-wheeler riding, being outdoors, flower gardening and she attended the Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Norma Lee Willey, Eileen Willey and Bernice Davis and a brother, Robert Willey.
Surviving are her husband of fifty-four years, John Higgins; two daughters, Priscilla Higgins of Texas and Penney (Kevin) Harrison of New Martinsville, WV; four brothers, Virgil Willey, Jr. of Big Run, WV, Roland (Stella) Williy of Aliquippa, PA, Harold Willey of Bridgeport, WV and Jerry Willey of Clendenin, WV; nephew, Jeff (Beth) Willey; two special great nieces, Tristin (Jason) Boso and Abby (Cody Bassett) Willey and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Nita’s request private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial to take place in the Powhatan Point Cemetery in Powhatan Point, OH.
