Obituary for John Michael "Mike" Bassett
John Michael Bassett, 40, of New Martinsville, WV died Friday, February 12, 2021 at his home.
“Mike” was born December 22, 1980 in Iowa City, Iowa; son of John E. (Agnes Lewis) Bassett of Elk Fork, WV and Cora Cook of New Martinsville, WV.
He enjoyed four wheeler rides and hunting. He was a good story teller and a graduate of Paden City High School.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Billie Jo (Jenkins) Bassett; daughter, Kiana Bassett of New Martinsville, WV; two step-sons, Dalton Richeson and Preston Hinkle; four step-daughters, Danesha Bassett, Breanna Mease, Paula Dunham and Leona Hinkle; two brothers, Nathan Bassett and Bryan Bassett both of New Martinsville, WV; three step-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received noon until time of service at 4:30 p.m., Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV.
