Obituary for Robert Allen "Bob" Goddard
Robert “Bob” A. Goddard, 84, of Proctor, WV went to meet his Savior on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 while at Wetzel County Hospital.
Bob was born March 27, 1936 in Whetstone, WV; son of the late Roy O. and Elma M. (Kelley) Goddard.
He was a retired general foreman for the former Ormet Corp., a U.S. Army veteran, board member of the Grandview-Doolin Water Association, recipient of The Upper Ohio Valley soil Conservation Farm of the Year award, board member of the Farm Service Agent; loved farming, watching WVU and Pittsburgh Pirates and he was a member of the Antioch Christian Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Junior Goddard and T. Dean Goddard.
Surviving are his wife of sixty-two years, Jacqueline (Garner) Goddard; three sons, R. Shane (Kathryn) Goddard of Proctor, WV, Aaron (Colette) Goddard of Bluffton, SC and Todd (Marveline) Goddard of Proctor, WV; five grandchildren, Joshua (Jordan) Goddard, Taylor (Keith) Barbo, Sean Goddard, Sarah Goddard and Kyle Goddard; two great grandchildren, Madilynn and Lincoln and several sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 3-7 p.m., Friday, March 12, 2021 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV; where funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m., Saturday, March 13, 2021 with burial to follow in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery.
