Obituary for William Francis "Bill" Sorsby Jr.
William “Bill” F. Sorsby, Jr., 75, of New Martinsville, WV died at his home Thursday, March 11, 2021 while surrounded by his family.
Bill was born June 30, 1945 in Wheeling, WV; son of the late William F. and Grace G. (Harman) Sorsby, Sr.
He was a retired mechanic for Bayer, a U.S. Navy veteran, life time member Spielers Club, an accomplished artist, liked building model cars and member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in New Martinsville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Wade.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-one years, Connie (Christen) Sorsby; one son, William F. (Dail) Sorsby, III of Millersport, OH; two daughters, Beth Ann (Richard) Mason of Thornville, OH and Jennifer Jo (James) Fouty of Bridgeport, OH; one brother, Donald (Debbie) Powell of New Martinsville, WV; five grandchildren, Levi, Luke, Matthew, Christian and Colten; childhood friend, Jerry Sands of New Martinsville, WV and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday, March14, 2021 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge, New Martinsville where services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, March 15, 2021 with Monsignor Kevin Quirk officiating.
