Obituary for Levona Jean Medcalf (Lancaster)
Levona Jean Medcalf, 74, of Wilmington, NC formerly of Paden City, WV died Thursday, March 25, 2021 while at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center.
Levona was born August 29, 1946 in New Martinsville, WV; daughter of the late Perry and Wilma (Gump) Lancaster.
She was a retired teacher with Happy Kids daycare center, loved her grandkids and shopping and member of the Pine Valley Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Randy Richard and Michael Richard and two brothers, Johnny and Bobby Lancaster.
Surviving are her husband, William “Bill” Medcalf; son, Eric (Misty) Richard of Wilmington, NC; daughter, Debbie (Rusty) Stewart of Cambridge, OH; six grandchildren, Kaitlyn (John) McLawhorn, Randy (Amanda) Richard, Zac Anderson, Marc (Ashley) Anderson, Michael Allen, Cory Moore and Jacci (Joseph) Barton, Jr.; seven great grandchildren, Sutton, Isaac, Andre’, Eliana, Jayden, James and Jayleigh; sister, Bonnie (Raymond) Henry of Wellsburg, WV and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 1, 2021 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City, burial to be in the Garrett Cemetery near Reader, WV.
