Robert “Bob” L. Stillwagoner, 82, of Proctor, WV passed peacefully April 1, 2021 surrounded by family.
Bob was born July 8, 1938 in Mannington, WV; son of the late Eather J. and Anna (Hebrock) Stillwagoner.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his siblings, Birchie Stillwagoner, Ardella Nutter, Geraldine Wyke, Charles Stillwagoner, Bill Stillwagoner, Bernadine Ruble, Ralph Stillwagoner and Wanda Stillwagoner.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of sixty-four years, Mary Ellen Stillwagoner. He is also survived by his brother, Kenneth (Donna) Stillwagoner of Quitman, TX. He leaves behind four children, that he was incredibly proud of, Cindy (Mike) Smith, Cheryl (Kevin) DiGregorio, Debra (Chuck) Loy and James Stillwagoner, Sr. He had eight grandchildren, Stacey (Kevin) Yoho, Erica (Scott) Smith-Wade, Megan Loy, Courtney (Silas) Archer, Anna Marie DiGregorio, Troy Corso, James Stillwagoner, Jr., and Jenna Stillwagoner. He had four great grandchildren, Braxton Yoho, Ryder Archer, Emily Yoho and Reese Archer. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bob was proud retiree of the former Ormet Corp. He loved to work with his hands and took pride in his work ethic. Bob has been the groundskeeper for PPG/Westlake Park for many years. He loved mowing, wood working and tinkering in his garage. Bob was a member of the Magnolia Lodge No. 42 IOOF, past Grand Master for the IOOF and past Grand Patriarch of the Patriarch Militant and loved his time as a member. He was also a member of the Proctor Christian Church, where he served as an Elder and Trustee. He was a member of New Martinsville Moose Lodge No. 931. No matter where he went, whether it be ACE Hardware or the grocery store, many people knew and loved Bob.
Bob built a foundation of love for his family that keeps them close and connected, no matter where they may go. Though Bob’s time here on earth may have come to an end, his legacy will forever live on in those that loved him dearly.
Friends received 1-5 p.m., Sunday, April 4, 2021 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV, where services will be held 1 p.m., Monday, April 5, 2021. Burial to follow in Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville.
