Obituary for Wilda Mae Paden (Bright)
Wilda Mae Paden, 89, of Paden City, WV passed from this life on Saturday, April 3, 2021 while at Wetzel County Hospital.
Wilda was born October 30, 1931 in Woodsfield, OH; daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Thomas) Bright.
She was a homemaker, enjoyed quilting, sewing and gardening and was a Protestant by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ross R. Paden; infant daughter, Carol Paden; grandson, Michael Lancaster; two sisters, Clara Jean Claus and Donna Bright; four brothers, Robert Bright, Byron Bright, David Bright and Donald Bright.
Surviving are her five children, James (Susan) Paden of Paden City, WV, Kenneth (Sue) Paden of Sistersville, WV, Mary (Russ) Myers of New Martinsville, WV, Terrell (Judy) Paden of Tyron, NC and Dorothy (Rick) Estep of New Martinsville, WV; four brothers, Paul (Ruth) Bright of Ashland, OH, Ralph (Vicki) Bright of Mansfield, OH, Richard (Karen) Bright of Shreve, OH and Ronald (Claudia) Bright of Ashland, OH; sister, Janet Clark of Ashland, OH; thirteen grandchildren; six step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 2-7 p.m., Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City, where services will be held 11:30 a.m., Thursday, April 8, 2021 with Pastor Darryl Mayfield officiating. Burial to follow in Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City, WV.
