Robert “RC” Carl Ritchea, 82, of Paden City, WV died Sunday, May 23, 2021 while at Reynolds Memorial Hospital.
Robert was born August 13, 1938 in West Post Office, WV; son of the late Carl William and Edna Imogene (Postlethwait) Ritchea.
He was a retired welder in the Rod Room at the former Ormet Corp. with thirty-six years, a veteran serving in the Army Reserve, and loved being outside where he could go hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a member of the Paden City Eagles Club.
Surviving are his wife, of fifty-six years, Mary (Richter) Ritchea; daughter, Diann (Richard) Wright, Jr. of Paden City, WV; son, Roger (Robin) Ritchea of St Marys, WV; two grandchildren, Ricky Wright of Paden City, WV and Carly Ritchea of St. Marys, WV; great granddaughter, Ryleigh Wright; four sisters, Nora (John) Parson of Paden City, Rose Herman and Sandra (Wayne) Huggins both of New Martinsville, WV and Linda (Lonnie) Long of Cameron, WV; four brothers, Bill (Shirley) Ritchea, James (Joretta) Ritchea, Gary (Lisa) Ritchea, Randy (Karen) Ritchea all of New Martinsville, WV and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City, where services will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, May 27, 2021 with burial to follow in Paden Memorial Gardens.
