Obituary for Kenneth T. Loy

Kenneth Theodore Loy,93 of New Martinsville passed away Tuesday June 22, 2021 at the loving home of his caretakers Dawn and Gary Anderson in Proctor WV.

In addition to his parents Edna Roberts, and William Loy he was preceded in death by his wife Eva R. Loy of 68 years. Now Together Again!! Two sisters, baby Loy and Ethel Hammel; brother, Norman Loy and daughter, Donna Regoli.

Loving Memories will be carried on by daughter, Irene Harvey; son in law, Ken Harvey; grandson Joshua Miller, his wife Cassie, and their daughter, Scarlett; granddaughter, Renee Rutter, her husband Chris, their sons, Caiden and Weston; grandson Bryan Carter, partner Morgan Feldman and children Jaxson and Remi; son in law, Brian Regoli and his therapy dog Winnie and new friend, Peanut.

He was a retired employee of Viking Glass. Also worked on the railroad, was a New Martinsville Police Officer, and a correction officer at Moundsville Prison. Ken was a Veteran of World War 2. He held officer positions at the local American Legion Post 28 in New Martinsville and also the State. He also belonged to the Sons of the American Legion. He loved to Volunteer and was always spreading kindness where ever he would go. He enjoyed conversing. He could have a conversation with just about anyone. He loved to garden and in his younger years he loved to hunt with family and friends. His family will always remember how hard working of a man he taught us all to become.

Thanks Daddy for all the important life lessons! Thanks Pappy for always encouraging kindness, love, forgiveness, and compassion to everyone you met!

A special thanks to all his caretakers that helped me to keep him in his own home several more years. Kathy Tennant, (he loved and adored like a daughter) Katy Springer, Diana Dillion, Johnna Kiter, Carla Knoop, Kathy Travis, Jim and Helen Agar and family.

A special thanks to Dawn and Gary Anderson and children for welcoming Ken into their home in Proctor WV once he was no longer able to reside in his own home.

Friends received 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m., Monday, June 28, 2021 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV. Burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in New Martinsville.

Honor Guard will conduct graveside services.
