Obituary for Rachel Nicole Ruth
Rachel Nicole Ruth, 37, of New Martinsville, WV passed away Friday, July 9, 2021 at her home.
Rachel was born February 28, 1984 in New Martinsville, WV; daughter of F. Ronald (Jennifer) Ruth of Warren, OH and Sue Ruth of Sun City Center, FL.
She loved any aquatic activity whether it be boating, swimming or water skiing; a 2002 graduate of Magnolia High School, graduated 2005 from Marietta College and then attended WVU; enjoyed anything sports related – football, hockey and most important her Steelers, Mountaineers and Pirates and a Methodist by faith.
She was preceded in death by her aunt, Lori Couch; maternal grandparents, Ellsworth Grandon and Betty (Reynolds) Snyder and paternal grandparents, Finley Ruth and Ray and Mabel (Riggenbach Ruth) Potts.
Surviving in addition to her parents is her husband, Mark Clawson; brother, Ryan (Marti) of Winfield, WV; niece and nephews, Austin Owen, Millenia Owen, Beau Ruth and “CJ” Ruth; cousin, Adam Couch of Vienna, WV;
father and mother-in-law, John and Pat Hoyt of Woodstock, IL; three step-sons, Rex Clawson of Bremerton, WA, Seth (Bailey) Clawson of Evensville, TN and Hunter Clawson of New Martinsville, WV; step-daughter, Ariel Clawson of Bremerton, WA; two step-grandchildren, John Henry Clawson and Leann Nanci Deel and her canine babies, Buddy, Baxter, Bentley and Zeus.
Friends received 4 p.m. – until time of service at 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville.
