Velva Carol Lasure, 71, of New Martinsville, WV died Friday, August 27, 2021 while at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Velva was born August 27, 1950 in Marshall County, WV; daughter of the late Harold Wayne and Willetta (Teagarden) Morris.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Brian Wayne Lasure; daughter, Theresa Lasure and brother, Edward Morris.
Surviving are her husband, Michael Lasure; son Michael E. Lasure of Oklahoma, OK; daughter, Prudence Lasure of Morgantown, WV, brother, Howard Morris; sisters, Sandra Headley of Salem, WV and Shirley McCoy of Blacksville, WV; grandchildren, Brian, Maranda, Cory, Hannah, Anel, Amy, Arlene, Azela, Azanet and Michael; great grandchild Alani and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV. Burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
