Obituary for Linda Denise Ann Yost

Linda Denise Ann Yost, 15, of New Martinsville, WV died Friday, October 15, 2021 as the result of an automobile accident.

Linda was born September 22, 2006 in Glen Dale, WV daughter of Laura (Schutte) Root and father, Larry Root who was in the wreck with her.

She was a freshman at Paden City High School. Linda love for Kobe Bryant inspired her passion for basketball, she love playing softball and spending time with her nieces and nephews and she attended The Connection Church in Paden City.

In addition to her father, her paternal grandmother was in the wreck, Roxanna “Roxy” Root. She was preceded in death by, paternal grandfather, Albert Root, infant sister, Patrica Yost and maternal grandmother, Deloris Stansberry.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a brother, Michael Yost; three sisters, Deania Parrish, Gloria Parrish and Iyesha Parrish all at home; maternal grandfather, Norman Schutte of Michigan; four aunts, Angela (Scott) Harlan of Silver Hill, WV, Beth Rodriguez, Rodella Cantu and Monica Topp all of Michigan; two nieces, Avianna and Kameron; two nephews, Ayden and Avery and several cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, October 18, 2021 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City. Funeral service will 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 19, 2021at The Connection Church (the old Matthew Barker complex) in Paden City with Pastor Stephanie Fritzman officiating. Burial to follow in Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City.
