Obituary for Pansy Augusta Raper (Henry)

Pansy Augusta Raper, 90, of Paden City, WV went to be united with her Savior on Sunday, October 24, 2021 while at Ritchie Personal Care in Sistersville.

Pansy was born in on April 28, 1931; daughter of the late George and Elva (Billiter) Henry.

She was a homemaker, member of the St. Marys Ladies Golf Association, she loved cooking and crocheting. Pansy’s greatest joys in life included being “Mommaw”, “Dimmy” and “Memaw” to her grandchildren, the loves of her life. Also her church, Paden Fork Chapel Christian Church, where she shared her love of Christ as a past VBS Director, member of Helping Hands and many years as a Sunday School Teacher. She will always be lovingly remembered for her cookies, noodles and onion burgers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred “Bud” Raper, Jr. and seven sisters, Violet Knowlton, Rose Wells, Maggie May, Pearl Probst, Perie Haught, Wanda Owens and Nancy Leasure.

Surviving are two sons, Neil (Deanna) Raper of Gerrardstown, WV and Tim (Nancy) Raper of Paden City, WV; daughter, Kimberly (Randy) Kehrer of Sistersville, WV; eight grandchildren, Allison, Brandon, Trent, Jarrod, Matthew, Hunter, Boone and Millie; nine great-grandchildren, Carlee, Jayce, Lilly, Evie, Tristan, Ashton, Brayden, Stella and Arlo; sister, Joyce Jo (Frank) Long of Tenn. and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City where services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, October 28, 2021 with Dale Dudgeon officiating. Burial to follow in Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City, WV.
