Obituary for Jack Foster Wetzel
Jack Foster Wetzel, 65, of New Martinsville, WV passed Tuesday, November 23, 2021 with a massive heart attack at his home.
Jack was born May 18, 1956 in New Martinsville, WV, son of Charlotte (Long) Wetzel and the late George Wetzel.
He was a sales clerk for Advance Auto, retired truck driver for Lehigh Hanson, a United States Army veteran, loved Trout fishing and when younger hunting. “Papaw Jack made the world’s best pancakes.”
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Melissa Dawn Wetzel.
Surviving are his wife of thirty-one years, Kelle (McCracken) Wetzel; sons, Craig (Michelle) Wetzel of Parkersburg, WV and Jeremy (Amanda) Wetzel of Kernersville, NC; daughter, Rachal Wetzel of Glenville, WV; brother, John (Dian) Wetzel of Powhatan Point, OH; two sisters, Carolyn (Doug) Choate of Edmond, OK and Lori (Ron) McCoy of New Martinsville, WV; grandchildren, Malachi, Sarah, Charlotte, Lilly, Margaret, Shaylin, Trenton, Dominic, Christopher; sister-in-law, Pat Catchpool of Woodsfield, OH; brother-in-law, Michael McCracken of Ocala, FL; uncle, Larry (Sue) Long of Wheat, WV and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Jack’s request there will be no services.
