Obituary for Virgil Zane "Chip" Argabrite II

Virgil “Chip” Zane Argabrite II, 55, of New Martinsville, WV passed away at home in his wife’s arms on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 8 pm. He fought a lengthy battle with cancer which contributed to a massive heart attack.

Chip grew up in Wellsville, OH. After graduating from East Liverpool High School he went on to serve in the Navy. He is preceded in death by his parents Virgil Zane and Marilyn Lee (Stewart) Argabrite.
He worked for Litman Excavating as a truck driver.

Chip loved riding 4 wheelers, fishing, his video games and playing with RC cars and planes. He was happy, full of life, fun loving and carefree. Chip had such a big heart and would do whatever he could to help someone out. He loved to make people laugh. He didn’t know when to quit and refused to give up.

He is survived by his wife of almost fourteen years, Barbara “Bobbi”; three brothers, Brian (Tammy), James (Michelle), Christopher (LaRon), two step children; Alexis Lynch (Andrew) and Zachary Cawthon (Marianne) and their son, Madara, father and mother-in-law Tom and Sonnie Grimes; sister-in-law, Heather Miller (Rich); thirteen nieces and nephews and several great nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received from 5 p.m. until time of memorial service at 7 p.m., Friday, January 21, 2022 Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV remember “It’ll be al-yite! Just waiting to respawn.”

In lieu of flowers, donations are greatly appreciated for his medical bills.
