Obituary for Belle Pittman (Nolan)

Belle Pittman, 85, of New Martinsville, WV went home to be with her Savior on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 while surrounded by her family.

Belle was born August 6, 1936 in New Martinsville, WV, daughter of the late Walter and Louise (Hayes) Nolan.

She was a retired secretary for Tyler County Schools, enjoyed crocheting, sewing and gardening, one of the founding members of the Tyler County Athletic Boosters, a pianist of the community for over seventy years – playing for weddings, funerals and church services, and she was a member of the Paden City Christian Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son, George Walter Pittman and sister, Janice Potts.

Surviving are her husband of sixty-four years, Jon Pittman; four children, Jon Ray (Darla) Pittman of Woodbridge, VA, Andy (Michelle) Pittman of Paden City, WV, Martie Pittman and Joe Pittman both of Middlebourne, WV; brother, Stanley (Doris) Nolan of Raleigh, NC; six grandchildren, Megan (Jeffery) Sprouse, J.R. (Christy) Pittman, Josh Pittman, Brooklyn (Drew) LeMasters, Trey Pittman and Keaghan Pittman; five great grandchildren, Layla, Sadie, Morgan, Addie and Nolan; canine companion, Zeva and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City, WV. Funeral service will 2 p.m., Sunday, January 23, 2022 at the Paden City Christian Church with Martin Coffey and Ed Amos co-officiating. Burial to follow in Paden Memorial Gardens.
