Dotson Gale “Shorty” Harrison, 72, of Proctor, WV died Thursday, January 27, 2022 while at Wetzel County Hospital.

Shorty was born October 10, 1949 in Maud, Wetzel County, WV, son of the late A. Wayne and Delphia (Long) Harrison.

He was a retired coal miner that enjoyed working around his house keeping it in tip top condition.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dolly (Litton) Harrison; two sisters, Judy Rose and Diane Wade and two brothers, Keith Harrison and Ron Harrison.

Surviving are his two sons, Gary Litton of Proctor, WV and Chad (Natasha) Harrison of Paden City, WV; daughter, Crystal Harrison of New Martinsville, WV; brother, Roy (Carla) Harrison of Porters Falls; sister, Donna (Randy) Hart of Ohio; six grandchildren, Christian, Destiny, Chad, Ryu, Liam and Seth and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 4-8 p.m., Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville.
