Obituary for Walter Melvin Morris
Walter Melvin Morris, 93, of New Martinsville, WV passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022.
Melvin was born on November 7, 1928 near Hundred, WV son of the late Harry and Edith (Cain) Morris.
He was a retired employee of PPG Industries, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Duffy Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-two years, Leota (McGlumphy) Morris; son, Jeff Morris; and all of his siblings, Harold, Dale, Mary, Norman Morris and June Longwell.
Surviving are his son, Greg (Beverly) Morris of Pine Grove, WV; granddaughter, Annette Morris of Pittsburgh, PA; brother-in-law, Ralph Kay (Karen) McGlumphy of Lexington, NC; daughter-in-law, Linda (Doug) Dryman of Ocala, FL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV where services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, February 3, 2022 with burial in Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City, WV.
Memorial contributions may be made to either the Duffy Church of Christ or the Pine Grove Church of Christ.
