Obituary for Marlene Ann Potts (Ritchie)
Marlene Ann Potts, 85, of Sardis, OH left this world suddenly to be reunited with the love of her life, Richard “Dick” Potts (Dec 2021) on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at her home.
Marlene was born January 25, 1937 in Sardis, OH, daughter of the late Oscar and Mary (Hubbard) Ritchie.
She was a homemaker, graduated in the first graduating class of River High School Class of 1955, charter member of the Duffy VFW Auxiliary Post #9930, enjoyed flower gardening, bowling and yard work – which she did most of the day on Saturday and member of the Duffy Church of Christ.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Randy Slider.
Surviving are her son, Michael Potts of Duffy, OH; two daughters, Diana “Did” Slider of Middlebourne, WV and Kim (Stacy) Dye of Clarington, OH; six grandchildren, Josh, Brandi, Jeremy, Kelsey, “DJ” and Justin; four great grandchildren, Emmett, Oakley, Duke and Virginia and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville where service will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Burial to follow in Sardis Cemetery, OH.
