Obituary for Gerald Wayne Lauderman

Gerald Wayne Lauderman, 76, died peacefully at home, surrounded by family, in the early morning hours of April 14.

Gerald was born December 29, 1945 in Newell, WV, son of Ray Lauderman and Lacy Augusta Pittman-Lauderman.
Gerald was the owner and operator of Lauderman Oil & Gas for over 25 years; after which, he and son Geremy W. Lauderman were co-owners of Lauderman Water Well Drilling.

Gerald loved country music, singing, and playing his guitar. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a loyal Mountaineer fan. He was a kind and generous man, who could always put a smile on your face with one of his many jokes.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Mona Wetzel, Shirley Herbold, and Andre Wetzel

Gerald is survived by his wife Kimberly Hahn Lauderman; sons Gerald “Jerry” Lauderman II (Abby), Robert R. Lauderman (Michelle), and Geremy W. Lauderman; daughters Cagney R. Lauderman and Kelsey N. Lauderman; grandchildren Haleigh, Ali & Luke, Matthew, and Hahnah; and his sister Marilyn Thoburn and brother Dearld “Pete” Lauderman (Mary Jo). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A memorial is planned for this summer, date to be determined. Donations can be made in his honor to Journey Hospice in Sistersville, WV.
