Obituary for Verna Mae Hall
Verna Mae Hall, 77, of New Martinsville, WV passed peacefully Sunday, April 24, 2022 at her home while surrounded by her family.
Verna was born September 3, 1944 in Moundsville, WV daughter of the late Virginia Hall.
She was a homemaker, loved cooking and raising her family and she had a green thumb.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her special friend, Bennie Lewis; grandparents, James and Ethel Hall; children, Roger Hall, Shelia Adams, half-children, Lucy Christian, Anna Blake, Rick Lewis and daughter-in-law, Janice Hall.
Surviving are three sons, Russell (Paulene) Hall, Bennie (Kara) Hall, Sr. and William Hall; daughter, Louella (Steve) Southerly; half-children, Dearrell Lewis, Randy (Sue) Lewis, Matt (Christy) Lewis, Peggy Riggs, Betty (Ray) Davis and Mary Moffitt all of New Martinsville, WV; siblings, Howard (Sylvia) Henry, Gene Henry, Don (Irene) Henry, “Sis” Carolyn White and Dorothy Tedrow all of Moundsville, WV; two half-sisters, Pauline Muncie and Patty Artworth; grandchildren, Bennie Hall, Jr., Devin Hall, Tootsie Hall and Cherokee (Janell) Hall, Roger Hall, Jr., Rocky Hall and several others; great-grandchildren, Kaylup Hall and several others and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 11 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, burial to follow in Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville.
