Obituary for George Wilbert Meeks Sr.
George W. Meeks, Sr. of Paden City, WV passed away at Westwood Place in Woodfield, OH on Saturday, June 25, 2022.
He was married to Marjorie (Brookover) Meeks for sixty-nine years. He was the father to Tom (Tamara) Meeks, George (Diana) Meeks, Jr. and Dot (Jeff) Sprouse. He is surviving by wife, children, grandchildren Monica, Maradith, Aubrey and Jeffery along with five great grandchildren and one due in July, several nieces and nephews and sister, Mary Kay Virden.
George served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from PPG Industries and was an avid hunter. He was born to Wilbert C. and Dolly E. (Bradfield) Meeks on June 20, 1929.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings, grandson, George Meeks III and great grandson, Myles Manning.
