Obituary for Ruby Carroll (hammel)
Ruby Carroll, 98, of New Martinsville, WV passed peacefully from this world on Monday, December 5, 2022 at her home.
Ruby was born October 9, 1924, in New Martinsville, WV, daughter of the late A.A. “Andy” and Birdie V. (Vancamp) Hammel.
She was a homemaker, a caretaker, enjoyed quilting, housework and beading and member of the Paden Fork Chapel Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred L. Carroll; son, Roger Carroll; brothers, Jack Hammel, Ross Edward Hammel and sisters, Virginia Johnson and Vivian Ann Carroll.
Surviving is her son, Tim (Deborah) Carroll of Fairview, WV; grandchildren, Amanda (Ryan) Daniel of West Monroe, LA and Jaclyn (Grant) Kennedy of Linden, PA and two great grandchildren, Eli and Zoey and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Ruby’s request there will be only graveside services 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville, WV.
Memorial contributions may be made to Paden Fork Chapel Christian Church.
