Obituary for Edna Frances Riel
Edna Frances Riel, 101, of New Martinsville, WV left this world peacefully on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at her home.
Edna was born January 29, 1921, in Proctor, WV daughter of the late John and Rena (Pyles) Riel.
She was a retired office clerk for PPG Industries, she enjoyed gardening, baking, making crafts, reading, spending time with her family and crocheting and was a member of New Martinsville United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, L. Wayne Riel; sister, M. Eloise Riel; brother, Everett and Mildred Riel; great granddaughter, Rayna Vaughan and nephew, David Riel.
Surviving are her four grandchildren, Jeff Riel of Middlebourne, WV, Brian (Rochelle) Riel of New Martinsville, WV, April (Bill) Daugherty of Paden City, WV and Jennifer Vaughan of Weirton, WV; nine great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren and many friends.
Friends received noon until time of service at 2 p.m., Monday, January 2, 2023 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV with burial to follow in Northview Cemetery.
