Obituary for Doris A. Herrick (Fish)
On Thursday, December 29, 2022, Doris A. (Fish) Herrick died peacefully at the age of 92. She was a great wife, mother and grandmother.
Doris was born on July 17, 1930, in Sistersville, WV to Herman and Ruth (Talbot) Fish. She was a 1948 graduate of Magnolia High School and a 1951 graduate of the Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by the love of her life Leo M. Herrick. They were married sixty-seven years. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Roger W. Fish and Walter T. Fish.
Doris is survived by a daughter, Melinda (Ron) Baker and four sons, Matthew (Kim) Herrick, Mitchell (Tracy) Herrick, Michael Herrick and Christopher (David) Herrick; a sister, Janet Berger; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Leo and Doris loved traveling the world together and wintering in Naples, FL. She was an owner of Wayside Furniture.
Friends received 5-7 p.m. Sunday, January 1, 2023, Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville with a vigil service at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Monday, January 2, 2023, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Monsignor Kevin Quirk as celebrant. Burial to follow in Northview Cemetery.
