Obituary for Kristen Rae Myers

Kristen Rae Myers, 34, of Los Angeles, CA formerly of West Virginia died at her home on Sunday, December 25, 2022.

Kristen was born December 8, 1988, in Clarksburg, WV daughter of Jane (“Sonny”) Conley of New Martinsville, WV and the late Greg A. Myers.

Before completing her high school education at Valley High School in 2007, Kristen had engaged in dance, gymnastics and cheerleading to help her reach her long term goals. Two days after Mother’s Day she left home to pursue her dreams with only two suitcases in her hands. She went to New York where a photo shoot opened the first door for her. Having photo opts in the magazine Maxim/Prada. Then the next leg of her journey was to California to continue her modeling career. Once in California, Kristen developed a taste for being an actress. She had a part in the movie Marauders and from there became a Sag-Aftra, start in a Netflix movie, worked for Warner Bros. Entertainment, an actress at the Lionsgate and eventually became a television host. Kristen loved to travel. She made appearances at elementary schools on career day giving inspiration to the little children. She also served on the Domestic Violence Advocacy program. Kristen touched the lives and hearts of so many people.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Robert and Nancy Long and paternal grandfather, Ray Eugene “Gene” Myers.

Surviving in addition to her mother are her three sisters, Samantha Myers of New Martinsville, WV, Elizabeth Conley and Brianna Myers both of Morgantown, WV; canine, Kasper, paternal grandmother, Connie Myers of Pennsylvania and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends received noon until time of service at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 8, 2023 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St, New Martinsville, WV. Burial to follow in the Long Cemetery in Wick, Tyler County, WV.
A bereavement dinner will follow the burial service at her uncle's home, Richard Long’s home at 516 Linden Ave., Sistersville, WV.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Williams Funeral Home, PO Box 336, Pine Grove, WV 26419. Any funds left over will be transfer to the Zachary Taylor Trust to assist with the funeral expenses of other children.
