Obituary for Daniel Wayne "Danny" Wright
Daniel “Danny” W. Wright, 73, of New Martinsville, WV left this world on Saturday, January 14, 2023 while at Wetzel County Hospital.
Danny was born January 5, 1950, in Sistersville, WV son of the late Paul Raymond and Ruth Ann (Dalrymple) Wright, Sr.
He was a retired police officer for the City of New Martinsville, drove the senior bus for the Wetzel County Committee on Aging, and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda Starkey and Debra Hartline and brother, Paul R. Wright, Jr.
Surviving is his wife of fifty four years, Mary (White) Wright; five children, Suzanne (Andy) Taylor and Buffy (Mark) Sprouse both of New Martinsville, WV, Brian (Dagny) Butler of Mineral Wells, WV, Cathy (Todd) Schuler of Warner Robins, GA and Daniel Wright, II of New Martinsville, WV; brother, Robert Wright of Sistersville, WV; seventeen grandchildren, Megan, Andrew, Charlie, Brandon, Trentton Sr., Emily, Drew, Hunter, Alex, Jensen, Jackson, Kaysha, Mikayla, Ashley, Dane, Chad and Chloe; seven great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, where services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, January 19, 2023 with David Benson officiating. Burial to follow in the Friendly Cemetery in Friendly, WV.
