Obituary for Penny Sue Nelson (Butcher)
Penny Sue Nelson, 62, of New Martinsville, WV left this world on Friday, January 20, 2023 at her home.
Penny was born January 23, 1960, in New Martinsville, WV daughter of the late Carl Edward and Mary (Wilkerson) Butcher.
She loved being a mother and grandmother, enjoyed going to yard sales, willing to help anyone and everyone who needed it (a friend of Penny’s would never go hungry or cold).
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Wanda Ours and nephew, Shawn Henthorn.
Surviving are her two sons, Carl Nelson and Cody Nelson both of New Martinsville, WV; five grandchildren, Emilly Nelson, Ryan Hughes, Tyler Hughes, Jayden Hughes, Jackson Nelson and her three dogs, Bear, Koby and Jasmine; brother, Carl Butcher, Jr. and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 5-7 p.m., Friday, January 27, 2023 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV where services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, January 28, 2023 with burial to follow in Northview Cemetery.
