Lucille June Blum, 82, of New Martinsville, WV died peacefully Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Harmar Place in Marietta, OH with family at her bedside.
Lucille was born June 2, 1940, in New Martinsville, WV daughter of the late Bernard and Catherine (Marcus) Fauber.
She graduated from WVU with a Master’s Degree, as well as a degree in Interior Design. Was a retired Science teacher for Wetzel County Schools with over twenty-five years of service. She was an active volunteer in her community within many organizations. Lucille was elected as the first woman Mayor for the City of New Martinsville and served for four years. She is a member of St. Ann’s Episcopal Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Blum, Sr.; son, Tommy Blum, Jr.; brother, James Fauber.
Surviving is her son, Donald “Troy” (Elutea) Blum of Hurricane, WV; daughter, Tracy Blum of Charlotte, NC; and two granddaughters, Sydney and Alexis Blum. Sydney attends SCAD in Savannah, GA and Alexis attends The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Champaign

Friends received 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2023 at St. Ann’s Episcopal Church, 453 Maple Ave., New Martinsville, WV. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
