Obituary for Robert Marshall Throckmorton
Robert M. Throckmorton, 51, of Waverly, WV formerly of New Martinsville, WV was found Saturday, April 22, 2023.
Robert was born April 22, 1972, in New Martinsville, WV son of Patricia (Williams) Schaum of New Martinsville, WV and the late Robert E. Throckmorton.
He was a U.S. Marine, a heavy equipment operator; enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching or playing sports. A member of the Hannibal American Legion Post 1552, New Martinsville Moose Lodge #931 and Sardis VFW Post 9930.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Bob and Katherine Throckmorton; uncle, Glen Throckmorton; maternal grandfather, Ray Williams; maternal step grandfather, George Schaum and maternal grandmother, Betty Flynn.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his children, Levi (Sonja) Throckmorton of Shadyside, OH, Dustin Throckmorton of New Martinsville, WV, Kody Kline of Fairmont, WV and Kara (Ben) Warsaw of Monroeville, PA; three grandchildren, Aubrey, Ethan and Harrison; special sister, Mary Throckmorton; special niece, Brianna Willis and several other siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at the Hannibal American Legion Post 1552.
