Obituary for Jerry Stephen "Steve" Billeter
Jerry Stephen “Steve” Billeter, 73, went to fish with the Lord in the waters of Heaven on June 9, 2023 while at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. Steve was born on March 5, 1950 in New Martinsville, WV.
Steve was predeceased by his father Jerry Marvin Billeter and his brother David Loring Billeter. He is survived by his “Lovie” of 53 years, Pamela Sue (Smittle) Billeter; his brothers, Joseph Billeter and Glen Tarbett; two children, Bradley Stephen Billeter (Jill) and Courtney Bly Ross (Aaron). Steve was blessed with three grandchildren, Katie Billeter, Will Billeter, and Alex Ross.
Steve graduated from Paden City High School in 1968 and represented the school in the Ohio-WV All-Star football game. He retired from the Consol Pennsylvania Coal company. After retirement he worked for MSHA in mine safety around Beckley, WV.
Steve was an avid outdoorsman. He was a two-time winner of the WV Bass Festival and other multiple awards. He was dedicated to supporting children’s sports by serving as the President of the Paden City Little League, in which he coached t-ball, minor and major league teams.
To honor Steve’s memory, we are holding a celebration of life visitation on Tuesday, June 13 from 3:00-7:00p at Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City. We invite everyone to attend and to remember his incredible life.
