Charles “Bud” Richard Suter, Sr., 85, of Paden City, WV left this world on Monday, July 10, 2023 while at The Arbor in Woodsfield, OH.
Charles was born June 24, 1938, in New Martinsville, WV son of the late Taylor and Nellie (Smith) Suter.
He was a retired crane operator for the former Ormet Corp., enjoyed woodworking and playing music – especially the mandolin and the guitar. Charles was a member of the Paden City Eagles and Sistersville American Legion.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an younger brother, Kenneth Suter.
Surviving is his wife, of sixty-five years, Emma (Thompson) Suter; six children, Charles “Rick” Suter, Jr. of Paden City, WV, Patrick Suter of Ohio, Timothy “Booter” Suter of Parkersburg, WV, Teresa (Larry) Presley and Amy Suter both of New Martinsville, WV and Billy Joe Suter of Dayton, OH; three siblings, Judith (Carlos) Loudin, Jr. of Summersville, WV, Wanda (Lawrence) Horner of Mingo Junction, OH and Alvy E. (Rita) Suter of Anniston, AL; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 1 p.m. until time of service at 3 p.m., Thursday, July 13, 2023 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S. Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV with Pastor Patrick McGue officiating. Burial at the convenience of the family in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
