Obituary for Charles Lyle "Chuck" Murdock
Charles L. Murdock, 87, of Paden City, WV passed on peacefully on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 while at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Charles was born August 13, 1935, in Paden City, WV son of the late Denzel B. and Esta I. (Stull) Murdock.
He was a retired electrician for the former Ormet Corp., a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, enjoyed computering, collecting stamps and coins, did coin hunting with a metal detector, owner of the former Murdock’s Hobby Shop in Paden City and member of the Bridge Street Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jon Murdock.
Surviving is his wife of sixty-three years, Karen (Jobes) Murdock; son, Charles (Cheryl) Murdock, II of New Martinsville, WV; daughter, Cheryl (Barry) Bland of New Martinsville, WV; sister, Carol Lopez of Paden City, WV; four grandchildren, Loren, Corinne, Alyssia and Caleb; two great grandchildren, Luke and Iris and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park in New Martinsville.
