Obituary for Mary Frances Cecil (Williams)

Mary Frances Cecil, 85, of Paden City, WV left this world on Friday, September 1, 2023, with her loving family by her side at Reynolds Memorial Hospital.

Mary Frances was born February 12, 1938, in Charleston, WV daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Willey) Williams.

She was a homemaker, loved to sing, huge fan of the Paden City Wild Cats and following their sports and the “Biggest Little Band”, past member of the Paden City Band Boosters, huge Mountaineer fan and faithful member of the Paden City Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Big Country” Cecil; siblings, Richard “Dicky” Williams, Gene Williams, Stanley Williams, Thomas Williams and JoAnn Walker.

Surviving are her three sons, Richard “Rick” (Robyn) Cecil of Duffy, OH, Brian “Todd” (Tania) Cecil of New Martinsville, WV and Robert “Robb” (Aimee) Cecil of Savannah, GA; three brothers, Robert “Jr.” Williams and Gary (Edie) Williams both of Ashtabula, OH and Dwight (Teri) Williams of New Martinsville, WV; two sisters, Linda Brown of Mt. Juliet, TN and Helen (Vince) Reusser of Sardis, OH; six grandchildren, Steve Cecil, Ricci Cecil, Evan Cecil, Halley Rohde, Hollee Candido and Brayton Cecil; three great grandchildren, Dominic Cecil, Lilly Rohde and Luka Fruner and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 11 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City, with Brian Price officiating. Burial at the convenience of the family in Paden Memorial Gardens.
