Obituary for Barbara Lynn Schmalz (Yeater)
Barbara Lynn Schmalz, 69, of New Martinsville, WV left this world on Friday, September 8, 2023, while at New Martinsville Center.
Barbara was born September 23, 1953, in New Martinsville, WV daughter of the late Dale Ernest and Phyllis Gay (Morris) Yeater.
She was a retired Hair Stylist, founder of Barb’s Beauty Salon, enjoyed crocheting, watching movies, adult coloring and traveling and a devoted member of the Hillview Terrace Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Schmalz, Sr.; brothers, David and Danny Yeater and sister, Mary Jane Bungard.
Surviving are her two sons, Charles E. Schmalz, Jr. of New Martinsville, WV and Dale W. Schmalz of Wheeling, WV and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received noon – 4 p.m., Sunday, September 10, 2023 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville where service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, September 11, 2023 with burial to follow in Jolliff Cemetery in Silver Hill, WV.
