Wilford Paul "Bud"  Farley
Farley, Wilford Paul “Bud”, 90 of Paden City, WV died Saturday, January 04, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.

Paul was born February 26, 1923 in Sistersville, WV son of the late Charles Everett and Fannie Slider Farley.

He attended Sistersville schools and graduated from Sistersville High School in 1941. “Bud” entered the Army in 1942 and after basic training as a radio operator at Fort Bliss, TX he then went to Europe until 1945 serving in several campaigns plus the race across Europe and in the Battle of the Bulge. He is a member of the Church of Christ in Paden City where he served as a deacon and elder for many years. He retired from PPG at Natrium in 1985 where he had worked for thirty-four and half years. The hobbies he enjoyed were hunting, golfing, fishing, shuffleboard and playing basketball and he also enjoyed watching sports on television.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dolly Katherine Wheeler.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-seven years, Birdiemae Martin Farley; son, Wayne (Beverly) Farley of Bridgeport, WV; daughter, Judith Ann (Henry) Barnhart of Arvilla, WV; three grandchildren, Lisa D (Gail) Barnhart Shreve, Liana (Brian) Mulgrew and James Farley; seven great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City. Service will be held 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at the Paden City Church of Christ with Brian Price officiating.

Interment in Greenwood Cemetery in Sistersville, WV.

Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Honor Guard.
