Obituary for Jo Ann Byard

Jo Ann “Ann” Byard, 85, of New Martinsville, WV went home to be with her Lord, Sunday, January 17, 2016 while at Wetzel County Hospital.

“Ann” was born January 8, 1931 in New Martinsville, WV, daughter of the late Joseph Harold and Melissa (Morgan) McCaskey.

She previously worked at the former Viking Glass in the office, Wetzel County Hospital, current president and caretaker of Greenlawn Memorial Park in New Martinsville, graduate of Magnolia High School Class of 1948, member of the former local Civic League, past Scout Leader, past leader for Wetzel County 4-H and All Stars and member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in New Martinsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Robert Byard; son, Joseph William Byard and little sister, Jean McCaskey.

Surviving are her son, T. “Bob” Byard of New Martinsville, WV; grandson, Brandon Byard of New Martinsville, WV and several cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville where service will be held 1 p.m., Friday, January 22, 2016 with Rev. Dr. Victor Hunter officiating.

Interment to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in New Martinsville, WV.
