Edna Mae Bonar, 89, of Hannibal, OH went home to her Lord on Tuesday, June 07, 2016 while at Bishop Joseph Hodges Continuous Care Center in Wheeling, WV.
Edna was born January 23, 1927 in Bellaire, OH, daughter of the late Elmer Elwood and Alta Mae (Borchert) Morrison.
She was a retired secretary for the former Ormet, Corp., clerk at New Martinsville Public Library for many years, loved to read, member of Clarington Chapter No. 533 Order of the Eastern Star and member of Hannibal United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C. Stanley Bonar; son, Richard Bonar; granddaughter, Janet Bonar; great grandson, Deacon Beisel and sister, Leah Salvaterra.
Surviving are her son, David (Diana) Bonar of Hannibal, OH; daughter-in-law, Susie Bonar of Powhatan, OH; brother, Wilbur Morrison of Bellaire, OH; three granddaughters, Jennifer (Jay) Harlan, Julie Bonar and Krista (James) Hunt; five great grandsons, Brady and Garrett Harlan, Markus Beisel and Kaden and Kyler Hunt; feline companion, Kitty and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 6-8 p.m., Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV where service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, June 10, 2016 with Pastor Richard Wilson officiating.
Interment to follow in Emma Grove Cemetery in Hannibal, OH.
Clarington Chapter No. 533 Order of the Eastern Star will conduct an Eastern Star service 8 p.m., Thursday, June 9, 2016.
